What is hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is the utilisation of hypnosis or trance induction by a therapist to help the client make changes or gain control over aspects of their life using the power of their own subconcious.  The trance or hypnotic state is similar to being completely absorbed in one’s own thoughts, like daydreaming or meditating.  In this induced, trance like state the client can focus inwardly, using their internal resources to achieve the changes in habits or behaviours they wish to make.

What can it be used for?

Hypnotherapy can be applied to the treatment of phobias, anxiety, addiction, eating disorders, weight issues, confidence issues and general bad habits.  It can be used to help with pain management and in conjunction with medical treatments to help treat some medical conditions.
